(above: I captured this moment on a sunny autumn's day, my parents strolling together hand in hand :))

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking.
It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

I was sorting out my computer and found this entry I wrote a few months back about clubbing:
The smoke filled room was hot and suffocating. Music fluctuated from intoxicating and groovy to boring and monotonous. Hundreds of bodies moved and wiggled on the dance floor, hot girls in their low cut tops and skinny pants, boys in their shirts and wondering eyes. Tall, short, fat, skinny, there was quite a selection tonight, though many of them clones of each other under the dark moody light. Everyone had hardly any room to move, yet as if entranced or summoned by a spell, no one seemed bothered by the cigarette stench, the suffocation, and the intense heat. Those who can groove look effortlessly cool pretending not to look at anyone. Those who cannot try to fit in and shuffle back and forth pretending no one could tell that deep down they’re desperate slaves of the beat.

Call me boring but I decided that I've had enough. As I stepped out early into the crispy cold night with a deep lung full of refreshing oxygen, my body thanked me for it. I think I’m too old for this. Perhaps it's time to move on.
I think for me, clubbing is purely enjoyable for the fun of dancing to great music. Whether it's RNB or salsa, as long as I'm in the mood or have the energy to groove to cool beats with friends, I'm happy. The worst feeling is not having good friends to dance with, and standing there bored. I'd rather be curling in bed with pjs with a good book. ;) Well that's just my opinion anyway. At the mean time, salsa's so much fun. I think I'm finally getting back into latin again, yay. Life's really good, I still haven't gotten over how good it is to be home again. I love Melbourne!
Goodnight world. YAWN
